A big thanks to the Bridgewater-Emery School and the Bridgewater-Emery Student Booster Club for bringing the Missoula Children’s Theater to town. The theater directors will be arriving Apr. 9 and staying through Apr. 14.
“I think it made my siblings more comfortable to get up and perform in front of others. I think they really enjoyed the experience, being able to have fun while being involved. I truly believe that having the MCT come to our school is a wonderful way for students to get involved while having fun and gaining performance skills,” junior Taylor Clark said.
The Missoula Children’s Theater is an organization for which children can experience performance arts while having fun. They want children to get involved and perform their talents in the community.
“When I go out for plays and stuff, I like making the audience laugh and putting on a show for people,” senior Cameron Steen said.
MCT wants to get everyone possible involved in a small school to perform in front of their community. The organization wants students to enjoy themselves and improve their performance skills.
“I think that the Missoula Children’s Theater is a terrific way to help build confidence. I really think it helps people with their performance skills, allowing them to put aside their insecurities, memorize lines and act in front of a crowd,” Steen said.
This year, MCT will be bringing the play called “King Arthur’s Quest”. Tryouts would be on Monday, Apr. 9 at 3:45 p.m. This determines which part (s) the student would perform in the play. The cast would perform Saturday, Apr. 14 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Practices will be in the Emery Gym; the practice schedule will be sent out as the date grows near.
