FFA Announcements

During the summer and early weeks of school, eight members of Bridgewater-Emery FFA have been fundraising to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. The four individuals who are attending the convention to compete in Milk Quality and Products are seniors Mercedes Messman, Kristen Kotas, Joslyn Shrank and Sydney Hoffman. The other four members going for the experience are seniors Sarah Schultz, Taylor Clark, Nick Thon and junior Jasmine Tschetter. The chaperone for this year’s trip will be Melissa Tschetter. Some of the fundraisers they have done are raffle tickets and working for the South Dakota Cattleman’s Association at Dakotafest and the S.D. State Fair. They will be doing a Harvest Meal later in the month and a day in October. Starting soon the chapter will be posting a “Sunday Spotlight” on our Facebook page and a “Member Monday” in the paper. These articles will highlight member achievements and what they love about FFA.
