By Kylee Pollman and Haven Crawford on September 14, 2018
This weeks homecoming is full of fun and many crazy fun events, and dress-up days. Starting on Monday the 17th the students will dress up as their favorite decade. There will also be Coronation and the burning of the letter F at 7:30 p.m at Emery High school/Middle school. The coronation is the choosing of the homecoming king and queen, after that the students will head to the burning of the letter. This is where they will burn the first letter of the opposing team.
On Tuesday the 18th is tourist/tropical day. This is the day where the students can show off their tropical style, and how they would dress if they were to tour a different, or new place.
Then on Wednesday the 19th, the students can dress up for their future careers on “future job day”, also there will be the High School Powder Puff Football Game. This event will go from 1:30-3:00 p.m, it will be girls vs one another.
Thursday the 20th, students can dress up for fake an injury day, on this day students will be able to show their creative skills by making it looked like they have been injured in some way.
Last but definitely not least is Friday the 21, where students can wear the traditional school colors, blue and silver. There will also be the community picnic at the Bridgewater school gym, serving will start at 11:15 and will end at 12:30. Following the picnic will be the homecoming parade in Bridgewater at 1:30 p.m, students will be bused there around 12:30 so they can build their class floats. School will be dismissed after the parade ends. At 7:00 p.m will be the Seahawks football game, they will be going against the Flandreau Flyers. To top the day for the high schoolers there will be pizza, movies, and Glow in the Dark Dodgeball at the high school from 10:00 p.m to 12:00 a.m, this will be at the Emery school.
