Bridgewater-Emery High School Graduation Preview

Graduation ceremony for the class of 2019 will be held Saturday, May 11. The ceremony will be taking place at the Bridgewater-Emery High School Gymnasium starting at 3 p.m.
The senior class consists of 25 students. As a class, they decide their class colors, flower and motto. This year’s senior class colors are royal blue, black and white, their flower is a white lily and their class motto is “Kid you’ll move mountains” by Dr. Seuss. The valedictorian of the senior class is Sydney Hoffman and the salutatorian is Kristin Kotas. Each will be giving a speech.
Seniors who have decided to attend the University of South Dakota are Abigal Arend for Dental Hygiene, Tessa Burnham for Pre-Physical Therapy and Sierra Wollmann for Pre- Occupational Therapy.
Attending Dakota Wesleyan University are Jamin Arend for Pre-Athletic Training, Taylor Clark for a double major in Special Education and Elementary Education and Carter Dye who is undecided.
Seniors who have decided to attend Mitchell Technical Institute are Isabel DiGiovanni for an Associates Degree in Animal Science, Jevin Eddy for Advanced Welding and Machinery, Kinzer Glanzer for Powersports and Marine Technology and Nicholas Thon for Precision Ag.
Vanessa Hofer has decided to attend Dordt University for Nursing and Darby Hurd will attend Nebraska Wesleyan University for Psychology or Social Work. Katelyn Kotas will attend Presentation College for Nursing. Attending South Dakota School of Mine and Technology for Biomedical Engineering is Mercedes Mesman. Joslyn Schrank attending Bethel University for Pre-Physical Therapy. Sawyer Schultz and Aaron Parizek are undecided at this time.
Attending South Dakota State University are Sydney Hoffman for Pre-Physician's Assistant majoring in Human Biology and minoring in Nutrition, Cate Meyer for Family and Consumer Sciences, Jada Wethor for Secondary English Education and Sarah Schulz for Nursing.
Ashley Horvath, McKayla Kirby and Kristin Kotas will be attending the University of Sioux Falls, Horvath will be majoring in Nursing, Kirby in Social Work and Kotas will be double majoring in Criminal Justice and Business Administration.
