B-E Overcomes Pine Ridge

Huskies traveled to Madison, Saturday, Jan. 26 to face the Pine Ridge Thorpes. The Huskies fought off the Thorpes, defeating them 85-77

“It was a good game for us,” senior Sawyer Schultz said. “We played hard and worked hard the whole game. We executed when we could and took shots when we were open.”


To start off the game, the Huskies had the ball. Throughout the game, the boys executed every play. They continued to move the ball quickly until someone was open for a shot. The Huskies hustled on defense to keep the Thorpes below them until the game was over.


“It was definitely a confidence booster for everyone that got to play,” senior Jamin Arend said. “We came ready to play and started the game the way we should’ve.”


Stats for the game consisted of Sawyer Schultz with 28 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Jamin Arend added 21 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies, while senior Carter Dye pitched in doubles, 19 points and 13 rebounds. Junior Chase Arend contributed ten points and five steals for the Huskies’ win.


“We did a great job on the defensive of the floor,” Rylee Schultz said, “It was a great win for us.”


The defeat over Pine Ridge made the B-E boys' basketball team 11-2.
